Photo by Issa Paré OP Varsity anniversary 24 March 2007 Date/Time: Sun 25 Mar 2007 11:52:02 AM EDT 24 March 2007 marked the 62nd anniversary of "Operation Varsity" The jump accross the Rhine. This was the largest Airborne Operation of WW2 and subsequently, the last Airborne Operation of the War.
The Airborne Association held a diner to commemorate this brilliant part of our Paratroopers history.
In the attendance, was mr. Roby Robinson, Vateran of D-Day, Op Varsity, Korea, and the first RSM of 2 CDO in 1968. A marvellous warrior !
I am seen on this picture, with mr Robinson, holding a framed print of "OP Varsity"

There were only 150 copies signed and only a very few are still available, through Bill Dickson in Edmonton or Joe Drouin in Ottawa.

Commendation Receiving my "Regimental Commendation" from LCol Vida, CO 1VP, summer 2004. Date/Time: Sat 25 Jun 2005 12:03:39 PM EDT Yes I know...I am wearing a blue berret...
In July 2004 I received a Regimental Commendation for my contribution to the "Heritage and History" of the PPCLI and the Airborne Regiment. I was totaly surprised to receive this award and deeply touched. It is hanging with pride in my office.
